Install MAOS
Web installer — flash Modern Apps OS to your device directly from the browser.
Connect your device in bootloader mode to begin — the model is detected automatically.
1 · Before you start
- Use Chrome or Edge on desktop (WebUSB is required; Firefox/Safari won't work).
- Back up your data. Installing erases everything on the device.
- Update to the latest stock OS first so the bootloader firmware is current.
- Enable Developer options → turn on OEM unlocking and USB debugging.
- Reboot the device into bootloader mode (power off, then hold Volume Down + Power), and connect it by USB.
Your device model is detected automatically when you connect — no need to pick it.
2 · Connect
With the device in bootloader mode, connect it and authorize access. The installer will detect the model.
3 · Unlock bootloader
Required before first install. You'll confirm on the device screen. (Skip if already unlocked.)
4 · Download & flash
Fetches the MAOS image for your device and writes it in one pass — each part is downloaded and flashed in turn (the full image is never held in memory at once). Keep the device connected; this takes several minutes.
5 · Lock bootloader (recommended)
Locking the bootloader re-enables verified boot for full security. Only do this after a successful flash — locking with a bad image can hard-brick the device. You'll confirm on the device screen.
